Motorpoint Arena Nottingham celebrates National Coffee Day with 200 Degrees
Motorpoint Arena Nottingham and the National Ice Centre are celebrating National Coffee Day with official coffee partner 200 Degrees Coffee Roasters and looking back at the local story behind the coffee enjoyed by customers across the venue today.
200 Degrees was founded in Nottingham in 2012, but the story behind the business began on a much smaller scale. Early experiments saw coffee roasted in a garage using a converted popcorn maker before the business invested in a commercial batch roaster and began supplying cafés and restaurants. More than a decade later, that passion for making great coffee accessible remains at the heart of 200 Degrees, alongside a commitment to building long-term relationships with the businesses it works with.
Motorpoint Arena Nottingham and the National Ice Centre are proud to be one of those relationships, with 200 Degrees having supplied locally roasted coffee across the venue since 2022.
Tim Moss, Founder of 200 Degrees comments “200 Degrees started back in 2012 with a pretty simple idea: we wanted to make great coffee more accessible, without any of the snobbery that sometimes surrounds speciality coffee. We began roasting in Nottingham, supplying local businesses and opening our first coffee shop just off Old Market Square. Since then, we’ve grown into coffee shops, wholesale and barista training across the UK, but we’ve always kept that same approach: great coffee, good people and long-term relationships with the businesses we work with. Nottingham is still our home, so partnerships with places like Motorpoint Arena are particularly special to us.”
Kylie Costall, Head of Sales & Hospitality at Motorpoint Arena comments “National Coffee Day gives us a lovely opportunity to celebrate our partnership with 200 Degrees and the Nottingham story behind the coffee we serve across our venue. We’ve worked together since 2022, and what really stands out is the importance the 200 Degrees team places on relationships. Tim talks about great coffee, good people and long-term partnerships, and that really reflects our experience of working together.
To celebrate National Coffee Day, T&D’s Café will be marking the occasion with special coffee offers, sweet treats and giveaways throughout the day.
