Innovative drinks experience gives fans more choice than ever before
The Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham is leading the way in drinks innovation and the customer experience after becoming the first arena in the UK to install Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, alongside the introduction of a new Boxbar drinks service, giving fans even more choice, convenience and flexibility when attending events at the venue.
The Coca-Cola Freestyle machines give customers the opportunity to create their own personalised drinks, offering more than 100 flavour combinations from one innovative dispensing system. Located on the main concourse, the new machines feature easy-to-use interactive digital touchscreens, allowing customers to create their own drinks at the touch of a button.
Alongside Coca-Cola Freestyle, the Arena has also introduced Boxbar, a new drinks service designed to make purchasing refreshments quicker and more convenient for customers. The new service forms part of the Arena’s ongoing investment in its food and beverage offering, providing fans with another way to access drinks during busy event nights.
Nick Walters, Head of Food & Beverage at Nottingham Arena said: “We’re incredibly excited to become the first arena in the UK to introduce Coca-Cola Freestyle, alongside launching our latest Boxbar drinks service. We’re always looking for new ways to improve the experience for our customers, and these two innovations give fans more choice and greater convenience when visiting the Arena.
Annabel Squires, Account Manager at Coca-Cola, said: “We are delighted to bring Coca-Cola Freestyle to Motorpoint Arena this year. Giving customers a greater choice and the opportunity to personalise and create their drinks will help to make every visit even more enjoyable.”
James Livingston, Director of Business Development at BoxBar, said:
“The Motorpoint Arena was one of the first arenas to join the Boxbar revolution over two years ago, and we’re proud of the relationship we’ve built with Nick Walters and the wider team at the venue. The new permanent installation, built using our latest Gen2 technology, represents an exciting next step. It’s faster, more consistent, gives the venue more product options and provides even more insight and intelligence behind the scenes. We believe this new install can make a real impact on the customer experience at Nottingham Arena, helping fans get served faster while also increasing capacity, revenue potential and efficiencies within that location. It’s great to see the progression from those first Boxbar units in 2024 to a permanent installation of our newest Gen2 technology today. This feels like the next stage in what has already been a really strong partnership, with lots of exciting plans ahead together”
