A New Era Begins as Motorpoint Becomes Naming Rights Partner of the EIHL
The future of UK Ice Hockey has never looked brighter as Motorpoint proudly announced themselves as the new naming rights partner of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for players, clubs, supporters and communities across the league.
This landmark partnership brings together two organisations united by a shared passion for excellence, ambition and growing the sport. From the opening face-off of the new season, the league will proudly compete under its new identity as the Motorpoint Elite Ice Hockey League, signalling a long-term commitment to the future of ice hockey.
As the new season approaches and as the home of the Nottingham Panthers and EIHL Playoffs weekend, the Motorpoint Arena are delighted that these two organisations have come together to grow the game of Ice Hockey both domestically and internationally.
Tony Smith, Chairman of the EIHL said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Motorpoint as the naming rights partner of the EIHL, with the league becoming known as the Motorpoint Elite League going forward. This is an exciting time for the league, with attendances continuing to grow strongly across recent seasons, more fans engaging with the sport than ever before and wide-ranging interest in new franchises. Motorpoint is a brand with a strong UK-wide presence and ambitious growth, making this partnership a natural fit.”
Alex Howard, Marketing Director at Motorpoint added: “We’re really excited about this partnership and what we have planned for the upcoming season. You can expect to see us have a presence with every team in the league, as well as working nationally with the league to keep fans up to date with all the exciting initiatives we’re running online and across our stores nationwide.”
Phil Jones, Commercial Director at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham commented: “We are really excited about this partnership. Adding Motorpoint’s pedigree as a naming rights partner to the growing popularity of UK Ice Hockey is amazing. We look forward to seeing how this partnership evolves over the coming years.
