The future of fast service has arrived at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham. Introducing Grab & Glide – your brand-new checkout-free bar powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology. The first of its kind in Nottingham – say goodbye to queues and hello to more time enjoying the action.

Where is it?

You’ll find Grab & Glide in Bar 4, located on the concourse on the left of the foyer, perfectly placed to keep you fuelled up before and during the show.

How does it work?

Grab & Glide is designed to make getting food and drinks effortless.

Tap in – Touch your contactless payment method on the reader to enter. This pre-authorises a £15 temporary hold on your payment account, but you’ll only pay for what you take. If your total is less, the difference is released.
Pick up – Choose any drinks and snacks you want, with a wide selection of 30+ products including draft beer, cider, soft drinks, food, and confectionery.
Glide out – Simply walk out through the exit gate. With Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, your purchase will be charged automatically.

A pre-authorisation is not a charge – it’s a temporary hold to confirm you can pay. Any difference between the pre-authorisation amount and the final payment will be released back to you by your bank.

Why has Grab & Glide been installed at Motorpoint Arena?

As part of our ongoing investment in enhancing your customer experience, we’ve partnered with Amazon to launch our new Grab & Glide bar to make getting food and drinks quicker and easier than ever. With an average purchase time of just seven seconds, no tills, and no queues, it’s a simple tap, grab, and glide. That means less time waiting and more time enjoying the event atmosphere.

What forms of payment are accepted?

All major contactless payment methods are accepted.

What is available to purchase at the self-serve bar?

Grab & Glide offers a wide selection of over 30+ products including draft beer, cider, soft drinks, food, and confectionery.

What happens if I spend less or more than the £15 pre-authorisation?

You’ll only pay for what you take. If your total is less, the difference is returned. If it’s more, the additional amount is charged. Pre-authorisation release timings depend on your bank.

Can I shop with a group?

Yes. If paying individually, each person taps in separately.

Can one person pay for a group’s purchase?

Yes. If one person is paying for everyone, they tap in first and the group enters. We recommend that the payer walks through last to avoid other people accidentally being included in your purchase. All purchases by your group are then charged to the payer’s contactless payment method.

What if I want to leave the bar without buying any items?

If you decide not to buy anything, just put the items back, and you won't be charged.

What happens if I spill my drink?

If you accidentally spill a drink, let a member of staff know straight away so they can clean it up and keep the area safe. A replacement drink will be provided for you, and you won’t be charged twice.

Does the Just Walk Out technology store facial recognition data?

No, the technology does not use facial recognition. Instead, it uses advanced computer vision to temporarily match a shopper’s selections to their contactless payment method. This is only to complete the transaction when you exit the bar and none of the data is stored or linked to your identity.

What if my pre-authorisation hasn’t been released?

Pre-authorisations are released according to your bank’s policies, so timings may vary. Please contact your bank in case of query.

Where can I get my receipt?

Scan the QR codes in the bar or visit justwalkout.com/receipts. Receipts may take one to two hours to appear.

I think I’ve been charged incorrectly. What do I do?

First, check your receipt via justwalkout.com/receipts and, second, check that your pre-authorisation has been released by your bank. If you still think you have been overcharged, please contact as via feedback@motorpointarenanottingham.com.

Is it accessible for wheelchair users and families?

Yes. Grab & Glide has a dedicated accessible entrance, with staff on hand to assist if required. You can choose independent or assisted entry.

How do you check ID?

Our staff continue to operate Challenge 21. Please have valid ID ready if purchasing alcohol.
