Celebrate 25 Years of Unforgettable Memories with Us

We’re so excited to announce that the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham turns 25 on 1 April 2025!

Since opening our doors in 2000, we’ve hosted thousands of world-class concerts, comedy shows, family events, and sporting spectacles, welcoming millions of visitors from across the globe. For 25 years, we’ve brought the world’s biggest names to the East Midlands – from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, Coldplay to Justin Bieber, alongside iconic events like UFC, WWE, and Premier League Darts. We’re beyond proud to have created a place where unforgettable moments and memories that last a lifetime are made.

Beyond entertainment, we’ve played a significant role in driving economic growth in Nottingham. A recent study by business students at Nottingham Trent University revealed that the National Ice Centre and Motorpoint Arena Nottingham has contributed more than £1 billion to the city’s economy over the past 25 years. From supporting local businesses, including hotels, bars, and restaurants, to creating hundreds of jobs, our impact extends far beyond our walls, making us a vital asset to the region.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this incredible milestone with the people who have made our success possible – our loyal visitors, dedicated staff, and the talented performers who have made our venue their home,” said Martin Ingham, CEO of the National Ice Centre and Motorpoint Arena Nottingham. “For 25 years, we’ve had the privilege of bringing joy, excitement, and inspiration to the East Midlands. This venue is truly incredible. When a show is taking place, and 10,000 people are here creating unforgettable moments, I’m so proud to be part of making memories that last a lifetime. We’re looking forward to continuing this legacy and welcoming many more generations to come.”

In celebration of our anniversary, we’ve put together an exciting lineup of events and initiatives that showcase our incredible journey… and we’d LOVE for you to celebrate with us!

People's Picture Project

Be a part of a lasting tribute to our venue. We’ve commissioned The People’s Picture Project to create a stunning photo mosaic. This one-of-a-kind artwork will be made up of thousands of your fan photos, celebrating our rich history and the unforgettable moments we’ve shared.

Share your stories and pictures! Perhaps it was at the arena you met your partner, got engaged at an event, or experienced your first ever concert. Whatever Motorpoint Arena Nottingham means to you… share our stories & pictures with us.

The mosaic will be unveiled and displayed in our foyer this summer. We’ll share more on this closer to the time!
