VENUE SECURITY

Q. Are there any new security measures I need to be aware of for this season?

A. We have introduced a new bag policy and now only allow handbags and other small bags (no rucksacks or bags larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm) into the venue; lockers will no longer be available for use. Customers that need to bring a bag for their medical requirements should contact the venue in advance so we can try and accommodate your needs.

We are also implementing enhanced security checks outside the venue; this will include personal searches. Customers are asked to arrive as early as possible; ensure they are not carrying any prohibited items and to come prepared for all weather conditions. Please also note if you leave the venue at any point during the event, you will need to undergo the security checks upon re-entry.

Q. With the enhanced security measures, what time should I arrive and where shall I queue?

A. The enhanced security procedures will result in significant queues; therefore, customers are being asked to arrive early (as close to door opening times as possible) to ease the entry process and avoid missing any of the match. There will be twice as many queueing lanes on Bolero Square than Lower Parliament Street, so we recommend you queue at the main Bolero Square entrance.

Q. What is prohibited from the venue?

A. No food, cans, bottles or alcohol may be brought into the venue; only food and drink purchased in the venue may be consumed within it (except in limited circumstances on proven medical grounds). No illegal substances, legal highs, pyrotechnic articles, lasers, selfie sticks, weapons or offensive items may be brought into the venue. We reserve the right to confiscate any prohibited items.

ARENA FOOD & DRINK

Q. Has the Arena food and drink offer changed?

A. We recently brought our catering operation in-house and have made significant investment in the quality and range of food and drink available, so you’ll see lots of positive changes at our concourse concession stands this season.

  • We’ve introduced a wider range of drink options; including the introduction of a new Hideaway Bar behind Block 3, offering a range of premium lines. We’ve also modernised two of the existing concourse bars and converted one into a ‘drinks only’ bar to offer a speedier service for fans just wanting a drink.
  • We’ve built a new Ice Cream Shop offering a range of flavoured ice creams and a Coffee House offering speciality coffees, both located on the concourse behind Block 15.
  • A new Fish & Chip Kitchen has opened on the concourse behind Block 7 offering delicious, freshly cooked fish & chips. Our chefs will now also be cooking behind the concourse bars to deliver a better range of quality, fresh food.
  • Bar prices have been reviewed and although there have been some slight price increases due to the introduction of a better-quality range of products, several of the most popular items have seen price reductions. We’ve also introduced a significantly discounted new Panthers Beer for just £3 a pint and Kopparberg will now also be available on draught at selected bars for just £5 a pint.
  • This season will see the return of our carvery on the concourse offering delicious freshly cut meats for only £4.50. We’ll also be introducing a broader range of meal deal options for you to choose from at every match.

Q. Have the concourse developments affected any other facilities e.g. toilets?

A. There have been changes to the toilets on the west concourse to facilitate the concourse developments. The ladies’ toilets are now located at the end of the concourse near Block 1; additional cubicles have been added and the toilets have been reconfigured to improve the flow of customers. Although toilets have been removed from behind Block 7, the total number of ladies’ toilets in this area remains the same as last season. The men’s toilets on the went concourse and on the Level 1 east concourse have also been reconfigured to increase capacity and improve the flow.
