We’re very excited to welcome you back to the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham to experience world-class concerts, comedy and sports events once again! 

To continue to keep everyone that enters the venue safe and provide the very best experience for our customers, we’ve implemented a number of important measures to reassure and protect everyone at the Motorpoint Arena. These measures are implemented in accordance with the current advice and guidance from UK and local government and will be continually reviewed.

Terms of entry
We kindly ask all customers aged 18 and over (unless medically exempt) attending a show or event at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, to be prepared to show a PRINTED OR DIGITAL COPY of one of the following: 

- A valid NHS Covid Pass via the NHS App or an NHS Covid Pass letter (available by phoning 119); or
- Proof of a negative lateral flow (text or email) or PCR test result within the last 48 hours; or
- Proof of a completed full course of vaccinations (with your 2nd jab at least 14 days ago); or
- Proof that you have had Covid-19 up to 180 days ago (and after a 10 day self-isolation period)

We recommend that you declare your Covid-19 status on the NHS app, which you can download here, or you can print your email or text results.

Failure to produce the required certification could result in entry being refused. 

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARRIVE EARLY TO COMPLETE VENUE CHECKS BEFORE THE SHOW.

It is illegal to attend an event if you have tested positive for Covid-19 or if you have been instructed to self-isolate. If this is the case, you must provide evidence to be entitled to a refund on your event ticket. If you booked ticket protection along with your tickets after 14 May 2020, this automatically covers both a positive Covid-19 test and legally required isolation.

We recommend that you use the NHS Track and Trace app by scanning your phone upon arrival. QR codes can be found around the venue to allow you to check in.

Take a test and keep everyone in the venue safe
As part of a major initiative across the entire live music sector to get everyone back to events safely and to keep fellow gig-goers, staff, talent and musicians safe, we encourage visitors to take a lateral flow test ahead of attending an event, regardless of whether they’ve been vaccinated. If you test positive, refunds are available upon providing proof of a positive Covid-19 test result. Public health teams will be situated nearby promoting testing and vaccinations for those who are after more information and support.

Twice-weekly lateral flow testing for our contracted staff is compulsory and on event days, all casual staff must take a lateral flow test before they arrive at work and must prove they are negative. If our customers can do the same (take a lateral flow test prior to attending an event), we’re hopeful that Covid-19 transmission will be minimal for everyone.

Face coverings
We’re encouraging all visitors to be responsible and wear a face covering in areas of higher density footfall, including toilets and concourses where the risk of transmission is highest. 

Hand hygiene 
We’ve partnered with Lifebuoy to become Official Hand Sanitiser of the Motorpoint Arena. Free sanitiser stations can be found across the venue and we encourage all visitors to wash their hands wherever possible and sanitise regularly.

Ventilation
In line with government guidelines, we will provide the optimum amount of fresh air to all spaces to minimise the risk of transmission of Covid-19. Where possible, all suitable windows and doors will be used to maximise fresh air movement and spaces where adequate fresh air levels are more challenging to achieve, will be risk assessed and additional measures such as capacity controls will be considered.

Enhanced cleaning
We’ve enhanced our cleaning regime before, during and post events. All surfaces throughout the venue are sanitised using long lasting cleaning solutions.

Contactless
We're moving towards being a cashless venue and encourage visitors to pay by contactless or card wherever possible.

We also encourage all customers to opt for paperless ticketing. When purchasing tickets, opt for tickets to be sent via email to be scanned from your phone on arrival at the venue. Please ensure you show tickets from the original PDF attachment when entering the venue, screenshots will not be accepted. 

We’re all in this together…
We’re all at different stages of comfort as the easing of restrictions are rolled out. Please be mindful and respectful of other customers in the venue who may be more, or less, cautious than you are. 
 
VENUE SECURITY

Measures in place to keep you safe
We take the safety and security of all our visitors very seriously and have various security measures in place to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience whilst visiting our venue. We have comprehensive procedures for all types of incidents and we meet regularly with local police and the authorities to ensure we are fully prepared for all eventualities. Our security staff are a great team of professional and approachable people that have everyone’s safety at the forefront of everything they do. We encourage everyone attending events at our venue to remain vigilant and if you have the slightest concern about anything or anyone, please report it to our security staff who will ensure that your concerns are investigated.

Please be aware that our security staff use handheld devices on shift to report incidents and feedback to improve your overall event experience so don’t worry if you see them typing away on their phone!

Security checks
To enhance the security of our venue and the customer experience, when you arrive at the venue on Bolero Square or Lower Parliament Street, your ticket will be checked and scanned along with a search of belongings and person, with no exceptions. 

If you have a pacemaker fitted and have been advised you shouldn’t undergo certain security checks (i.e. security wand checks), please let the security staff know as you approach them, and they’ll use an alternative search method.

Bag policy
Please don’t bring any bags to our events if possible, however we will allow handbags and other small bags (no rucksacks or bags larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm) into the venue. Please note that lockers are not available for use. Customers that need to bring a bag for their medical requirements should contact us in advance so that we can try and accommodate your needs. Laptops and other large electronic devices are not permitted into the venue, please see our terms and conditions for a more extensive list of prohibited items.
